Terms & Conditions

The terms that apply when you shop with Tackle Shop online – ordering, payment, delivery, cancellations and your rights.

Last updated: 27 October 2026

01About us

These terms and conditions apply to all orders placed on tackleshop.ie, operated by Tackle Shop (Proprietor: Noel Kavanagh), Unit 5, Jim Power Industrial Estate, Tramore Road, Cork T12 FV58, Ireland. Phone 021 421 5039, email admin@tackleshop.ie.

Please read these terms before placing an order. By placing an order you agree to be bound by them. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under Irish and EU law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2022.

02Using our website

  • You must be 18 or over to place an order.
  • You agree to give accurate and complete information when ordering or creating an account, and to keep your login details secure.
  • You must not misuse the website, for example by introducing viruses or trying to gain unauthorised access.

03Products & prices

  • We make every effort to show products, colours and descriptions accurately, but small variations may occur – for example in colours on different screens, or packaging updated by the manufacturer.
  • All prices are in Euro (€) and include VAT at the applicable rate. Delivery charges, if any, are shown at checkout before you pay.
  • All products are subject to availability. If an item you ordered becomes unavailable, we will contact you and offer an alternative or a full refund.
  • If we discover an obvious pricing error, we will contact you before dispatch and give you the option to continue at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

04Placing an order

  1. Add the products you want to your basket and go to checkout.
  2. Enter your details and choose your delivery option.
  3. Pay securely with PayPal.
  4. You will receive an email confirming that we have received your order.

A contract is formed between you and Tackle Shop when we accept your order by dispatching the goods or sending you a dispatch confirmation. We may refuse an order, for example if a product is out of stock or a payment cannot be verified – in that case any payment taken will be refunded in full.

05Payment

We accept payment through PayPal. Payment is taken at the time you place your order. PayPal processes your payment securely – we never see or store your card or bank details.

06Delivery

  • We aim to dispatch orders as quickly as possible. Delivery options, costs and estimated delivery times are shown at checkout.
  • Delivery timescales are estimates and may be affected by courier delays, bad weather or busy periods.
  • Please make sure your delivery address is complete and correct. If an item is returned to us because of an incorrect address, we may need to charge for re-delivery.
  • Goods are your responsibility from the time they are delivered to you or to a person you have nominated.
  • If your order arrives damaged or incomplete, please contact us within 48 hours with photos so we can put it right quickly.

07Your right to cancel

If you buy online as a consumer, you have the right to cancel your contract within 14 days of receiving your goods, without giving a reason. Full details on how to cancel, return items and receive a refund are set out in our Refund & Returns Policy.

08Faulty goods & warranty

All goods we sell must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If an item is faulty, you are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund under the Consumer Rights Act 2022. Many products also carry a manufacturer’s warranty, which is in addition to your statutory rights.

Normal wear and tear, misuse, accidental damage (for example rods broken in car doors or high-sticking), or damage caused by not following the manufacturer’s instructions is not considered a fault.

09Gift vouchers & guided fishing

  • Gift vouchers are valid for the period stated on the voucher, cannot be exchanged for cash and should be kept safe – we cannot replace lost vouchers.
  • Guided fishing trips are subject to weather and water conditions. If we have to cancel, we will offer a new date or a full refund. Please contact us as early as possible if you need to change your booking.

10Liability

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or our negligence. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

Fishing can be a hazardous activity. Please always fish safely, wear appropriate safety equipment such as a life jacket near water, and follow local fishing regulations and licensing requirements.

11Intellectual property

All content on this website – including text, images, logos and design – belongs to Tackle Shop or its licensors and may not be copied or reused without our written permission. Product names and brands belong to their respective owners.

12Privacy

We handle your personal information in line with our Privacy Policy.

13Governing law & changes

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the Irish courts have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country. You can also use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform.

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on our website when you place your order applies to that order.
